The subject of Bill C-51,a proposed revision of the Food and Drug Act would ,I believe ;merit some discussion among the members of this forum.
 The Bill is currently before Parliament and undergoing it's second reading.
Having studied this Bill for the past several months I am convinced this Bill must be defeated.At the very least the portions regarding Natural Health Food Products should be removed,although this would still leave the Bill containing some very dangerous legislation; increasing the powers of inspectors;the Health Minister and Pharmaceutical interests.
 The time has come to demand of our politicians and government a Natural Health Product Act,as previously promised us, to enshrine our rights and access to health products in Canadian law not regulations.
 There is a concerted battle at this moment(see Codex Ailimentarius) to deprive us of these rights and define natural health products as toxic substances.Unless we rise up and have our voices heard the next two years bode ill for the cause of alternative medicine.
 There is much to be said on this subject.  
 My purpose at this time is to introduce it on a test post and see if others have interest to delve into it further.
