| The subject of Bill C-51,a proposed revision of the Food and Drug Act would ,I believe ;merit some discussion among the members of this forum. The Bill is currently before Parliament and undergoing it's second reading. Having studied this Bill for the past several months I am convinced this Bill must be defeated.At the very least the portions regarding Natural Health Food Products should be removed,although this would still leave the Bill containing some very dangerous legislation; increasing the powers of inspectors;the Health Minister and Pharmaceutical interests. The time has come to demand of our politicians and government a Natural Health Product Act,as previously promised us, to enshrine our rights and access to health products in Canadian law not regulations. There is a concerted battle at this moment(see Codex Ailimentarius) to deprive us of these rights and define natural health products as toxic substances.Unless we rise up and have our voices heard the next two years bode ill for the cause of alternative medicine. There is much to be said on this subject. My purpose at this time is to introduce it on a test post and see if others have interest to delve into it further. |

| “Beyond the Box” - #12 – August/06. When Humanity can let go of being controlled through fear and resist judging others and follow the deeper urgings of their hearts then, and only then, will we be able to soar to new heights of understanding, letting go of the shackles that we have allowed to bind us, discovering some of the very real mysteries that, when understood, will move us to new heights of awareness. Faced with the world we see unraveling around us the above seems only a dream. Yet, within that statement lies the answer. When we as a whole can begin to grasp the elements that “bind us” then we can begin to kick off the “shackles” we have allowed and in so doing find an inexpressible freedom and joy we could only have dreamed of. What are those “shackles”? Humanity is composed of two genders – male and female – but only one has basically controlled the world over the last 5000 years. It is this imbalance that is at the root of the mess our world is now in. Is it that simple? Yes I believe it is! I don’t think any truly understanding person would argue that it is the male energy that is controlling and dominating most of the world’s cultures. The nurturing element of the female with her compassionate energy is sadly lacking in the “halls of power” be they political, religious or within families. They are for the most part male dominated and controlling. “Might is right” is the dictum – and so it has been for 5000 years. You’ve done a great job, guys – Thanks, but no thanks! We have permitted hierarchy systems to be formed to rule over us - primarily patriarchal – be they in the form of kings, dictators, or religious leaders. We have created a monitory system to evolve and enslave us rather than work together as communities sharing our efforts for the good of all and husbanding the resources of this planet which is our home. Truly, it is the home of every living thing that resides upon it. International boundaries which are simply lines on a map have further separated us from each other over time – and we have stolen land from each other on the basis “to the victor go the spoils”! By what right have we done this? And who is the “victor” in the first place? Is it some pathetic “ruler” who has an ego problem and very likely manipulated his rulership by fair means or foul? There has been a global amnesia to this male/female imbalance and it is time for ordinary men and women to wake up and see this for what it is! It is time to take back our power and free ourselves from this nauseating enslavement which has engendered so much suffering and tragedy over 5000 years! For it to manifest however in the outer world it first has to start within each of us individually. Only what the “inner” is will the “outer” reflect. Once this realization has taken hold we, as a species, are on the road to the healing we and the earth we survive on so desperately need – now as never before.! Love, Compassion and Allowing without judgment – these are the essential elements I believe we must work towards before we will have Peace on Earth. Let me repeat again the first opening paragraph of this article: “When Humanity can let go of being controlled through fear and resist judging others and follow the deeper urgings of their hearts then, and only then, will we be able to soar to new heights of understanding, letting go of the shackles that we have allowed to bind us, discovering some of the very real mysteries that when understood will move us to new heights of awareness.” So be it!
